I am Pepijn van Kesteren, YES-DC’s chairman in 2010. The coming year the rest of the board and I will strive towards making a membership of YES-DC even more exciting and rewarding than it already was, through among others many more exciting events and excursions, integration of YES-DC in international networks, and of course the long awaited for DEO-day!

I started in the board of YES-DC in 2009, working on getting more students involved, investigating potential international ties, and organizing events with my fellow board members. At the time I was the only student in the board, and that has not changed since: I am still studying Energy Science at the UU. Hopefully however by the end of this year I too will have joined the working world, with a little bit of luck specifically in the field of CSP. In the meantime I will do my utmost towards reaching YES-DCs goals, in order for us to create a YES-DC that allows us all to make a lasting impact on the energy world!

I am Dagmar Zwebe and I am the abactis of Yes-DC since the beginning of 2009.

Therefore all email, vacancies and new/old memberships go through me. I am also in charge of the YFFN and a lot of the communication (including the content of the website). Furthermore I see it as our goal to get the Yes-DC members more actively involved in the organisation again.

In my daily life I am commercialising the pyrolysis technology. My company BTG Bioliquids BV is selling on a commercial basis the pyrolysis technology that has been developed within BTG Biomass Technology Group. This technology can convert all types of biomass to oil.

I am Michael Herweyer, the treasurer at YES-DC for the year 2009.

This year all financial issues goes via me, and my goal is to spend it as effective as possible. Also I want to organize and participate at a great number of interesting activities in order to level up my knowledge and network. In my daily life I am working at Alliander (former Continuon) as a corporate social responsibility advisor. Our team forms policy and advises the board in all CSR questionnaires.

Hello, my name is Marc de Wit and I will be active in organizing debates, lectures and excursions this year.

Next to re-establishing the monthly frequency of activities we aim to serve the interests of the diverse group YES is increasingly becoming. Ranging from (last year) students to the (self declared) establishment. Professionally, I am a researcher at Utrecht University working on large-scale deployment of biomass for energy in Europe.

Let met introduce myself. My name is Rik Catau and I am 26 years old. I'm the editor of the YES-DC newsletter and I am concerned with the YES-DC website. I first heard of YES-DC during my master study Sustainable Energy Technology in Twente. After getting to know more of YES-DC I knew that joining the board would be a good thing because of the central role YES-DC has in bringing together young professionals in the field of energy related business. After finishing my studies I did project work on the feasibility of installing large scale solar installations on roofs of large buildings. After that I started at KEMA consulting in Arnhem where I fulfill the role of a specialist in the field of solar energy. KEMA consulting is part of KEMA NV and specialises in consulting in the field of energy related business, going from engineering to high level strategy advice.
