Today the use of energy is one of the most important topics discussed by governments, companies, politics and individuals. Over the next decades the use of energy will multiply significantly in several sectors, such as traffic, industry and agriculture. YES-DC organizes a series of energy debates in which different energy-related sectors are considered and discussed.

On December the 18th the first debate finds place in Utrecht on the subject ‘our living city’. By using the energietransitiemodel (ETM) we look at the energy use of big cities and seek for potential solutions that helps to create cleaner, healthier and less energy consuming cities. In groups of 5 the attendees will create a future energy scenario by using the ETM. The final results will be discussed in a plenary debate.

Important! You don’t have to be an expert in the field of energy consumption to attend this evening. What is needed is the interest in the topic of energy and the will to learn from a debate in which different backgrounds are represented.
