Hereby we kindly invite you for a joint YES-DC / Young Shell activity on Thursday, 8 March:
‘Energy for a Changing World: how feasible is the new energy and climate policy of the European Union?’
On 10 January, the European Commission launched a plan for a new energy and climate policy with ambitious goals for reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the use of renewable energy. Are these goals ambitious enough? Is there sufficient support of member states and industry to realize the plans? What are the consequences of the new policy for companies? Is the current state of the art technology sufficiently matured to meet the goals?
